Community Guidelines
Last updated: 27 September 2026
nive is a calm place. When you share a mix, name a soundscape, or take part in anything community-facing, these guidelines keep it that way for everyone. They apply alongside our Terms of Service.
The spirit
Be kind, be calm, be honest. nive is about rest and focus, not noise. Share things that help other people wind down, and treat the community the way you would want to be treated at the end of a long day.
Do
- Share original mixes and thoughtful, descriptive names.
- Give credit where it is due and respect others’ work.
- Report anything that feels off — you help keep the space safe.
- Assume good faith and keep feedback constructive.
Do not
- Harass or attack people — no bullying, threats, or hate speech based on who someone is.
- Post harmful content — nothing sexual involving minors, no incitement to violence or self-harm, no illegal material.
- Spam or mislead — no scams, bulk promotion, phishing, or impersonating others.
- Infringe rights — do not upload or share audio, images, or names you do not have the right to use.
- Break the app — no attempts to exploit, overload, or bypass safety systems.
Names and shared mixes
Titles and descriptions should be suitable for all ages. Avoid profanity, slurs, and anything designed to shock. We may rename, hide, or remove content that does not fit the calm nature of nive.
A note on wellbeing
nive can support relaxation and sleep, but it is not a substitute for professional care. If you or someone in the community is in crisis, please reach out to a local emergency service or a mental-health helpline. Content that promotes self-harm is never allowed and will be removed.
Reporting and enforcement
If you see something that breaks these guidelines, report it in the app or email hello@niveapp.com. We review reports and may warn, remove content, or suspend accounts depending on severity. Serious violations can lead to a permanent ban without warning. If you think we got a decision wrong, you can appeal by replying to our message.
Changes
We may update these guidelines as the community grows. We will post the updated version here with a new date at the top.
